The “Training of Trainers” (ToT) Course is the central action of CARITALENTS, offering an accredited innovative, professional, flexible, constructivist training programme. The programme is designed to develop understanding and expertise in Heritage Studies for the development of tools and innovative training for youth in the Caribbean; in the awareness, culture and heritage of the region, to support the development of professional new media skills.
The training programme confers the following certificates:
- the title of Postgraduate Programme at University of West Indies and the title of Training Course at the University of Florence to the participants with university degree;
- the title of Training Course at the University of Florence to the participants without university degree.
The training programme is addressed primarily to participants who, having or not an university degree, are employed or voluntarily engaged in educational and social fields: schools and universities, local authorities, grassroots groups and associations and the third sector in general. Candidates have also to demonstrate attitude and ability to involve youth in workshop activities.
The training programme foresees lectures given by qualified international, Caribbean and Italian experts and academics. The training is structured to favor the exchange of experiences among participants by means of their direct involvement through fruitful interaction in group study activities and guided participatory workshops. The course encourages participants to explore multidisciplinary approaches.
